Cahara
The year is 6091. Technology was at its greatest in 4584. Although some look at this as human kind at its best, some look at it in a different matter. Some people did move out and manage to live on the moon, but life was tough. Humans have been able to visit Jupiter, but that's the farthest that anyone's ever gone. War is rough, all over. Weapons are so advanced that anyone can pick up a gun and destroy a nation easily. Things have gotten out of hand. Finally, everyone says "that's it" to technology when a bomb developed by a man in Washington, USA, destroys the continents, breaking them off and others joining together to make a weird looking world, compared to what we're used to looking at. The government heads around the world decide to get rid of all technology for the most part, bringing the standards down to obsolete 2008 technology, but life simpler, like in early earth. People farm for their food, and food that they can't get, they buy from a grocery store. Humans mainly only need money for things like weapons, tools, fun stuff (like televisions and computers), among other things. The world is a mix of 1880 and 2000, basically.
A legendary man named Yao Huzaki discovered "magic" in 5789. He discovered that everyone contains a spiritual energy inside of them, some more than others. This energy is called Yao, after the man that discovered it. It can be transformed into a physical energy, doing different things, like healing or attacking an enemy. That energy is lost after used, but can be brought back by rest. Rest is the only way to restore Yao, except by drugs, which can harm the user more that hurt them. People start to learn this in a defensive way.
After the bomb is dropped that separates the continents, a chemical change occurs with some people, plants, animals, and micro organisms, making them into different types of things. They are animal-like things with one thing in mind: killing and eating. They attack humans mainly, and live on all islands and continents in the world. They need meat. They reproduce quickly, making extinction of the vile monsters almost impossible.
Five friends, an average age of 23, named Tigris Boguth (Tig), Sandra Pivun (Sandy), Curtis Young (Curt), Keith, and Mark, live in a town called Cahara, a rebel town on the island of Smaria. They hold a peaceful life, and they enjoy their lives. However, they have unfulfilled dreams; they want to explore the world. They want to venture from the wonderful, peaceful towns in the remnants of the Himalaya Mountains to the giant New New York, the only city that refused to give up their technology. They want to do this, but no one in Smaria thinks they should. The Smarians finally gave in and allowed them to leave. They leave to explore the world.
They explore Earth, helping people with their problems, having one journey after another. They retell their adventures to Cahara every trip back. They visit everywhere, nowhere not explored. They have the time of their lives.
The king of Cahara dies. He has no family. Someone needs to replace him. For the first time ever, an election similar to present day elections is held. Tigris happens to be in town. He wants power, to make the world better. He enters the election, and wins. Tigris becomes king of Cahara. In tradition, the king is single when being elected (it's ok to be dating) but must marry when finally becoming king. He marries Sandra, making her queen. Tigris makes his entire friends king officials, people who help him decide what to do as a king. From there on, he proceeds to do what he thinks is right for the world.
He still continues to explore and solve problems, for fun, but also now to see what's wrong. If he can't correct it by ungovernmental force, he takes over the place and solves it governmentally.
At this point in the game, the player continues to explore the world and solve problems. He or she also takes over places, making an empire. You have governmental decisions, like how to control your empire, how much money to give to certain department, among other things.
A man named Yunta Dufh doesn't like you period. He has devoted his life to swordsmanship, magic, gun control, anything physical. Yunta wants Tigris and his friends DEAD. He calls several attacks on him, and when that fails, he goes after him himself. Yunta is more powerful that Tigris and co. and they barely escape with their lives. Life for the team becomes a struggle for power, exploration, and life.
Tigris Boguth ("Tig") - the main character. He has an undefined class. The player can make him into anything he or she wants, like swordsman, magician, or gunslinger, among other things.
Sandra Pivun ("Sandy") - the main character's girlfriend. Magician.
The other characters - Curtis Young ("Curt"), Keith Lokks, and Mark Tyler - are in the process of being considered for deletion. Three main characters, at least, will be in the final copy. However, will it be all of these, one of these (if so, which one?), or a completly different person? I don't know.
More information will come later.
